HOMELESS PREVENTION AND RAPID RE-HOUSING PROGRAM (HPRP)

In July 2009, Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida, Inc. became the sub-grantee under the Florida Office of Homelessness for stimulus funds in Sub-district 2A (Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington counties). The federal guidelines required that priority consideration be given to households who are impacted by the current recession, including those who:

  • Are unemployed, lost a second job, or had work hours reduced

  • Are on fixed incomes;

  • Have income that is below the poverty level;
